Company Profile PT Wika Gedung

The business of building construction has been the main activity of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. since its establishment. Several monumental projects were completed including office building, hotels, apartments, malls/retails, sport facilities and airport terminal building.

Among those projects are LPDP Building Jakarta, ex BDN Building (now Bank Mandiri), Bank Indonesia Jakarta, Permata Berlian Apartment Jakarta, Hyatt Surabaya Hotel, Mediteranian Apartment Jakarta and many others.

On October 24, 2008 PT. Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Tbk. (WIKA Gedung) was officially established as a market separation strategy that was  conducted in order to increase the growth of the business. The government of state-owned enterprises market is still performed by the Department of Building Construction PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. while for the private market will be performed by Wika Gedung.

 Along with the growth of the property market in the past years, in 2105 WIKA Gedung diversified its business by entering the property business. In its three years journey, WIKA Gedung successfully marketed around 5000 units of vertical residential spaces and 1 hotel as recurring income. This business diversification became the second transformation of WIKA Gedung, while the first transformation was marked by focus on profitability through the blue ocean strategy to its potential customers using the ono stop service or total solution service.

In accordance with the Long Term Planning (LTP) 2014-2018 on property business development and investment which requires large amount of capital, WIKA Gedung is planning to offer some of its shares to the public through Initial Public Offering (JPO). To support and strengthen WIKA Gedung’s commitment in becoming a public listed company, on February 2016 the shareholders of WIKA Gedung (PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk.) spin-offed the building business (Department of Building Construction) spin-offed the building business (Department of Building Construction), merged in with WIKA Gedung, considering the size of proceeding JPO.
